Some of the top scientists from MIT, Lincoln Labs, Wentworth Institute and other places come together for the New England Base Camp. This year we have some additional special guests.
Will Bales, from Battle Bots fame, got his start building robots through Scouts and at camp. You can do the same by participating in the Robotics Merit Badge hosted by Will.
Peter and Paul Reynolds are bringing their animation company Fable Vision to teach 10 lucky Scouts introduction to animation.
NVBots 3D Printer
Thanks to the generosity of NVBots, you will be able to learn about one of the fastest growing industries today at camp. Every weekend we do have introduction to 3D printing. We cover how the printers work, the different materials used, design options, and the support of the printer.
Environmental Science Center
One of the most popular areas of camp is our Environmental Science Center or STEM Room. Learn about scat, the animals of the Blue Hills, birds, architecture or dinosaurs. No matter what your age it, your family or group will have hours worth of fun in the STEM Room.
Get in touch with nature through one of our Nature Workshops. Nature Workshops at KISC means learning about the environment with a difference: by doing activities, games, hikes and much more! Our environment offers a fantastic opportunity for interactive learning. We have spectacular surroundings, a campsite full of wildlife and we are constantly trying to minimize our impact on the environment. The environment is part of everything at Base Camp!
