Powered by scouting

161 countries and over 40 million youth participate in Scouting from around the world. It is the largest youth organization in the world and it has been for over 100 years. Though the program has changed some over time, it still helps parents raise men and women of great character.

Scouting was originally considered “a game with a purpose.” Today, those programs, skills and excitement that have powered generations are available to you and your family through the New England Base Camp. Learning and character development are embedded into the program and are just part of the fun that you and your family will have.

Each year over 15,000 people visit the New England Base Camp to enjoy a family afternoon in the outdoors. Others attend swimming lessons or compete in triathlons. Thousands attend each year to stay at Camp Sayre, our overnight camp grounds. Others participate in leadership development courses. There is something at the Base Camp for everyone, and the Base Camp programs enhance and enrich the lives of every participant.
